----------REFLECTION OF PROJECT 2-----------
For this mini project, my group members and I have put a lot of efforts in it. I have read a lot journals about different process and the details of designing a reactor and so on. I really glad that I have learned a lot from this project because we already apply what we have learned in class for the three subjects into something useful. This projct really requires a lot of teamworks,communication and discussion to complete. From this project I know how to apply the PFD and P&ID drawing in the project, which is really useful for the future. I feel satisfied to see our project done by our hardwork. Indeed this project is more challenging compare to the previous project where we deal with a lot technical knowledge expecially when it comes to mass balance, tranfer functions and PID controllers. I have already tried our best to do and follow the instructions given for the project, I hope the outcome of our project will be good given we are quite certain with the veracity of the works.
---------------REFLECTION OF COURSES-------------
KRD
In Kinectic Reactor Design course, I have learn a lot about how the subjects and knowledge we learnt before this can be applied in reactor design for example sizing a reactor volume and solve the problems for different types of reactor. It is really interesting since it can be related in real life application and how we can play our role as a chemical engineer in the future that we need to know how to form the design equation and how to choose the right reactor and design the arrangment of reactor. The process of learning KRD is very effective in a way that our lecturer always give us some in-class exercise to solve the questions together.
CPDIC
Through CPDIC, we are exposed to the knowledge of chemical process control of a reactor. I like this subject because I learn on how to compute the function given different situations and different reactor. I 'm looking forward to the next half of the courses to learn more about the application of it since we have already know how to determine the dynamic behavior of a process after the changes in input process. This is not an easy subject because it deals with a lot of diferrent situations , therefore I will need to put more time and effort in order to understand this subject.
PSLP
In this modern technolgy era, chemical process has become more complex and revolve to be larger and larger scales. Therefore, I realise that it is really important to design safety system to prevent accidents happen. The application of this course is really crucial in every industry. An industry is not only about process and production but safety is needed to be taken into consideration and to prevent the hazards released to the environment. This subject actually related to another two subjects, KRD and CPDIC in a way that we need to take process safety into account when we deal with reactor design and process control.
----------Reflection towards Board Game---------
This is a very interesting project since we study undergrade for so long. Indeed this project is very challenging for us because we need to brainstorm to choose a game to relate this three courses together. Initially we are struggling for so long on how to relate this three courses together but at the end we manage to set the background of this game based on the courses and choose a boardgame which is CLUEDO as a basic of our board game. Honesly this to complete this project takes a lot of my time to think on how to run the game and expecially the questions, we are not expected to simply give any question in this game but to really sit down and think hard of quality questions based on the Blooms Taxonomy. However, the time I spent on this project make me learnt a lot of things apart from what we learn in textbook for example, doing prezi, webpage and design game. Another thing I like the most about this project is that our course coordinator, Mr Tazli always keeping track with our progress and answer every question what we ask. This is the first time I meet a lecturer which put effort in helping us to do a group project, I do really appreciate his work.
REFLECTION TOWARDS
BOARD GAME QUESTION
For the questions of this board game, we design it in a way that the questions consists of 3 levels: easy, intermediate and difficult, The players get to know a lot conceptual questions and application when playing this board game, When I came out with the questions, I need to study the textbook and search online on to have a more clearer picture and understanding of what the courses are about. I came to know that in order to create a question we really need understand about the course before we can proceed and give a correct explanation and answer, This is not as easy as what I think but it really helps me to study more about the courses apart than just lecture notes. All the calculations, conceptual, recommendation questions are good practice on how we look into the subject. I think the Blooms Taxonomy is a very effective approach for us to learn the courses more deeply. really appreciate for what we have accomplish till now.
-----------------------------Suggestions-----------------------------
This is indeed a very interesting task for us as we do this project for about 6 week. However I think maybe the project can give a bit longer duration for us to complete since we need to do the board model and record video. At first we don't really get to know on how to relate the questions of the three courses together, I suggest the lecturer can give an example for us so that we can be sure of what we doing is correct.
