Rules of Game

  • This game is meant to be played with 3 to 5 players.

  • Each player choose a suspect and place the suspect in each of their starting point (Refer to instruction manual Part A).

  • Each cause and suspect has a specific room given in the instruction manual as well.

  • There are 4 piles of card: [ROOMS], [SUSPECTS], [CAUSES] and [QUESTIONS]. Make one pile of cards for [ROOMS], one pile for [SUSPECTS] and one pile for the [CAUSES].

  • Shuffle each pile and put a random card from each of the three piles into the solution envelope. Place the envelope in the middle of the board.

  • Shuffle the remaining cards together.

  • Divide the cards to the players, starting with one card for each player.

  • The players can look at their card but shouldn’t let other player see it.

  • Put the rest of the cards on the board above the grid |FACTS|.

  • Put the pile of [QUESTIONS] cards above the grid |QUESTIONS|.

  • Each player will be given a [CLUELIST] card, check off the card you are holding in your hand because the card you are holding is not in the envelope.

  • Role the die when it is your turn, you can move the pawn forward, left or right according to the spaces.

  • Check the color of the space where your pawn stops, whether it is |QUESTION| or |FACTS|.( Refer to Instruction manuals Part A-ii)

  • After you solve the [QUESTION] card, you will be awarded a [FACT] card which you can check off in [CLUELIST].

  • Aim to enter a room on your turn.

  • After you enter the room, it means you guess that room is a crime scene, now you need to guess another 2 things: the suspect and the cause. Move the suspect n causes into the room with your pawn.

  • The player at the left need to look at their cards, if they are able to disprove your theory, they have to show you ONLY one of the cards that disproves your story. Once you have been disproved, your turn ends. If the player does not hole any card you mentioned, the next player need to disprove your theory using only one card.

  • Once you think you know all three cards in the envelope, you can make an accusation.

  • Announce the three cards that you think are in the envelope, and surreptitiously look at the cards in the envelope.

  • If you are right, you WIN!

  • If you are wrong, you are out of the game, the rest of the players continue playing but you need to disprove the suggestions with the cards you holding in your hand.
